Missing Over Europe
LYKENS — staff Sgt. Robert C. Bingaman, an aerial gunner on a Liberator bomber, has been reported missing in action during a mission over the European area on 27 May, according to a telegram from the War Department by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Willis Bingaman.
Sergeant Bingaman entered the service in September 1943. After receiving training in this country, his crew flew to their base in England on 2 May 1944. He is a graduate of Lykens High School, class of 1940, and before entering the service was employed by Reiff and Nestor Company, Lykens,

LETTERS ARE ISSUED
The estate of Sgt. Robert C. Bingaman, late of Lykens, who was killed in the European Theater, will be shared by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Willis Bingaman, Lykens. Letters in the estate, estimated at $340.14 were issued yesterday to the mother.

Parents are Heirs of Late Sergeant
Letters were issued at the Dauphin County Courthouse to settle the $340.14 estate of Sergeant Robert C. Bingaman, Lykens, killed in action in the European Theatre, 28 May . His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Willis Bingaman, Lykens, are the heirs, and his mother applied for the letters.
