Peter Zerbe, 18 monts old son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Zerbe, Lykens R. D. 1, was pronounced dead on arrival at the Pottsville Hospital last Wednesday evening at 10:30 o’clock after he drank kerosene.

In a report Dr. I. E. Sausser, Valley View, where the child was brought for treatment by the mother and a neighbor woman, the two women were making a fire in the Zerbe home and were using the kerosene and the child picked it up and drank it. After treatment at the doctor’s office the infant was taken to the hospital [and] respiration were resorted to without avail.

The family has two other children.
