World War II – Pvt. Lloyd A. Sultzbaugh (1925-1945) – Killed in Action in Germany

FUNERAL FOR WAR VETERAN

Funeral services for Pvt. Lloyd A. Sultzbaugh whose body was recently returned to the United States from Europe, were held in Bowerman’s Lutheran Church a Enterline, Wednesday afternoon.

Interment was made in the cemetery adjoining the church and military rites were conducted by members of the Halifax American legion Post.

Pvt. Sultzbaugh was a former resident of Carsonville and was a son of the late John Sultzbaugh and Mabel [Sweigard] Sultzbaugh.  He entered the Army 22 October 1943, and was killed in action in Germany, 24 April 1945.

A sister, Mrs. Blanche A. Matter of Hershey is the only survivor.
