Specktown – The Sulky Revisited, 1946 (1)

A photograph of the first three great-great-grandchildren of Hannah L. [Rickert] Riegle (1947-1919) of Specktown, Lykens Township, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, in a sulky purchased by her for her first great-grandchild, Kathryn E. Dietrich (1915-2003).  The photo was taken at the Riegle-Dietrich homestead about 1946.  The home shown in the background-right is the Evitts-Engle homestead which is still standing along the junction of Old Specktown Road and Specktown Road.

Pictured above, left to right, are:  Judy Troutman, Norman Gasbarro Jr., and Tyrone Troutman.

The story of the acquisition of the sulky was previously presented here on this blog.  See:

Kathryn Dietrich and Her Sulky, 1916
