Tri-Valley High School Band, 1954

A 1954 photograph of the band in concert setting of the Tri-Valley High School, Hegins Township, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania.

The text that came with this photo is as follows:

The band, under the capable direction of Mr. Rhoades, consists of students from both junior and senior high school. Outstanding among the activities in which the band participated were the Christmas program and the Annual Spring Concert. In the beginning of the school term the group went to the various fairs and took part in the grand marches. The most unusual activity was their participation with other bands at the Annual Dream Game held in the Minersville Memorial Stadiuam last December. Carolyn Hand, who is a master of the flute, was chosen to represent the high school in the District Band, State Band, and District Orchestra last semester.
