On 22 6 November 1936, the Harrisburg Telegraph reported the following in regard to the completion of construction on the new addition to the Lykens Valley Vocational High School, Berrysburg, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania:
Berrysburg, November 6 – The new $26,000 addition to the Lykens Valley Vocational High School building at Berrysburg is to be competed this week. The one-story brick structure contains an agricultural laboratory, a home economics room, four classrooms, and a large combination auditorium-gymnasium, making indoor sports possible here for the first time in the history of the school, which has a total enrollment of 156 students. H. B. Alexander, Harrisburg, was contractor, and W. L. Murray, Harrisburg, was architect. ElRoy Baker is supervising principal.
