The account of those who saw the assault is to the effect that a small negro and a fellow carnival hand had been drinking in one of the tents near the swimming pol. It is alleged that the men became involved in an argument and that the smaller struck the larger man. The other drew a knife and stabbed his fellow worker in the chest, abdomen and slashed his wrist. The negro was given first aid treatment and the assailant placed in the Dauphin County Prison, to await the seriousness of the stabbing.
