Warren C. Riegle Family, 1943

A snapshot photograph dated 25 November 1943 of the Warren C. Riegle family of Memphis, Tennessee. This photo was sent to family at Christmas 1943 with the greeting “Hi Folks!”

Pictured are:

Front Row (children): Patricia Ann “Pat” Riegle; Charles William Riegle.

Back Row (adults): Warren Coleman Riegle (1903-1982); Dorothy McNeill “Dot” [McMurray] Riegle (1908-1990).

Warren C. Riegle was born in Specktown, Lykens Township, 19 March 1903, the son of Charles G. Riegle (1876-1913) and Minnie Amanda [Coleman] Riegle (1880-1958). On Warren’s 10th birthday, his father was killed in the mines. Warren and Dot were married in Buffalo, New York, on 17 October 1931, and spent the remainder of their lives together in Memphis, Tennessee. Warren died on 4 November 1982 in Memphis. Dot died on 2 January 1990 in Maldin, Missouri.
