Nevin E. Harris (1891-1958) – State Highway Department Employee

NEVIN E. HARRIS

Nevin E. Harris, age 66 years, died suddenly at his home in Harrisburg on Sunday.

Mr. Harris was a son of John A. Harris and Eva [Hepner] Harris and was a native of Hickory Corners, Northumberland County. He was an employee of the state Highway Department and a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Berrysburg.

Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Carrie [Koppenhaver] Harris; four sons, Franklin Harris, Elizabethville, R.D., Albert Harris and William J. Harris, both of Millersburg R.D., and Ammon Harris, of Millersburg; and seven grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Alice Romberger, Lykens R.D., and Mrs. Charles Koppenhaver, Berrysburg; and two brothers, Charles Harris, Berrysburg, and John Harris, Lykens Township.

Services were held from St. John’s Lutheran Church at 2:00 o’clock Wednesday afternoon. The pastor, Rev. T. A. Berg officiated and interment was made in the church cemetery.
