VICTIM OF MINE ACCIDENT
Injuries sustained when caught in a fall of coal at an independent mine operation near Locust Dale last Thursday, proved fatal to Lewis W. Kehler, of Pitman, who died in the Fountain Spring Hospital at Ashland Tuesday [20 December 1938].
He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Kehler, four brothers and five sisters: Albert Kehler; Lester Kehler; Franklin Kehler Jr.; Ralph Kehler; Martha Kehler; Orpha Kehler; Betty Kehler; Marie Kehler; and Mrs. Ralph Wentzel, all at home.
Funeral services will be held from the residence at 10 o’clock Saturday morning with further services in Zion Evangelical Church at Pitman. The pastor, Rev. John Bergman will officiate and interment will be made in the cemetery adjoining the church.
