An undated portrait of John Nagley, who was born 10 October 1827, the son of Daniel C. Nagley (1797-1873) and Margaret [Gable] Nagley (1803-1976). He married Elizabeth R. Murray (1824-1887)
John Nagley was a cabinetmaker in Liverpool, Perry County, and after spending some years in Freeport, Illinois, moved back to Perry County. In 1869, he established a planing mill in Millersburg, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania.
John Nagley died on 12 September 1891 and is buried at Oak Hill Cemetery, Millersburg.
