World War II – Men Accepted for Military Duty, May 6, 1943

A newspaper listing of the men from the Lykens Valley area who were accepted for military duty in World War II, published on 6 May 1943. Note: These lists were published by the local newspapers on a regular basis throughout the period of the war.

Forty-six men from Dauphin County Selective Service District 4, Lykens Headquarters, were accepted for military service on Monday. Of the total number, sixteen men will report fort duty in the Navy.
