A one-cent stamp on a post card mailed from Harrisburg to Carsonville, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania.
The first postmark and cancel was applied on a railway postal car (R.P.O.) on Train No. 68 on the route from Harrisburg to Erie, 30 August 1907.
The received postmark (at left) was applied at the post office at Carsonville, 31 August 1907.
Most likely, the card traveled aboard the train from Harrisburg to Halifax, Dauphin County, then was dispatched at Halifax to travel over unpaved roads to Carsonville.
