William H. Welker (1835-1922 & Elizabeth [Shoop] Welker (1834-1909)

An undated photograph of William Henry Welker (1835-1922) and his wife Elizabeth [Shoop] Welker (1834-1909) of Jefferson Township, Jackson Township, Lykens Township, Washington Township, and Wiconisco – all of Dauphin County, Pennsylvania.

William was a coal miner and a farmer.  He was also a Civil War veteran having served in the 130th Pennsylvania Infantry, Company H, as a Private from 12 August 1862 through honorable discharge on 21 May 1863.

Both William and Elizabeth are buried at St. Peter (Hoffman) Cemetery, Lykens Township.
