An undated old photograph on which someone typed “The Home of John Peter Hoffman – 1756, Barn.” The location for this photograph is along the road presently known as the Crossroads, Washington Township, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, on what is presently [2016] the Clair Bush farm. This area of Washington Township, at the western foot of Short Mountain, is the place of the original Hoffman family settlement in the Lykens Valley. The barn was demolished some time in the past and replaced with other structures.
The original Hoffman graveyard is located on this farm in the general area of the Hoffman Monument.
