Progress and “A Square Deal”
The proposed route was from Millersburg, Dauphin County, to Gordon and Ashland, Schuylkill County, with station stops at Killinger, Curtin, Berrysburg, Gratz, Springville [now Spring Glen], Sacramento, Valley View, Hegins, Weishample, Mabel, and Gordon. Birds-eve views of Millersburg and Gordon were featured at the top right and bottom left of the map. While station stops were not planned at Elizabethville or Erdman, these communities were shown as adjacent to the route, and, communities to the north, such as Klingerstown and Pillow were also noted on the map.
Unfortunately, the proposed railroad was a colossal failure and in the early 1920s the plan was completely abandoned.
