Jacob Andrew Weiss Farm, 1875

A photo of the home on what was in 1875 the 39 acre farm of John Andrew Weiss, Lykens Township, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania.

At the time the photograph was taken, this was the home of the Walter Hoover family.  The construction date of this building was not known at the time of this posting.

It is believed that those standing on the porch are Walter Hoover (1878-1918) and Lottie [Hoover] Hoover (1883-1973) and their daughters.  From the age of the daughters, the photo was probably taken late in the first decade of the 20th century.

The Jacob Andrew Weiss farm was located in Specktown, a community in the southwest quadrant of Lykens Township, as shown on the 1875 map cut above.
