An undated portrait photograph of Margaret Ellen “Maggie” [Evitts] Hoover (1848-1907), daughter of Capt. Benjamin J. Evitts (1822-1909) and his wife, Sarah Ann [Yeager] Evitts (1826-1876). Maggie married Charles Alfred “Carl” Hoover (1850-1916) and together they had at least 12 known children.
Maggie and Carl lived most of their lives in Specktown, Lykens Township, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. They are buried at St. Peter (Hoffman) Cemetery in Lykens Township.
