Bill Dietrich and His Horse, 1930

A snapshot photograph taken around 1930 of William E. “Bill” Dietrich and his horse, on his farm in Specktown, Lykens Township, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania.

The building at right rear is the homestead of the William Evitts (1854-1928) family and the farm buildings at left rear are part of the Evitts’ farm, which by 1930 was owned by William’s son and daughter-in-law, Frederick Evitts (1900-1937) and Laura [Hess] Evitts (1900-1987).
