Lykens Township – Shepley School Teachers, 1876-1951

A photograph of the interior of the Shepley School, a one-room schoolhouse in Lykens Township, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, taken about 1911 when Charles Henninger was the teacher. The school was in existence from about 1876 through 1954. When it closed, the pupils from Lykens Township attended school in Gratz Borough in the new elementary school that was built there.

A list of men and women who were teachers at this school has been found, but there are questions about some of the years.
