Millersburg – Ferry Season Opening, 1989

A newspaper photograph from the Citizen Standard (Valley View, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania), 19 April 1989, of the Millersburg Ferry, Roaring Bull.

The photo caption states:

Start of Another Season

The Millersburg Ferry started its 172nd season on Saturday as the Roaring Bull left the shore at Crow’s Landing, Perry County, at about 9 a.m. and headed for Millersburg.  Capt. Jim Burke was assisted by retired Capt. Jack Dillman on his first official voyage of the season.  The ferry will run from dawn to dusk, seven days a week, from now until the end of November.
