FOOT CRUSHED BY THE CARS
George Dreibelbis, aged 15 years, son of Abraham Dreibelbis, an old Grand Army resident of Wiconisco, Pennsylvania, had his foot mashed yesterday near his home while trying to board a moving coal train. Before the train hands could get back to where the accident occurred, the boy had crept on the bank and had already taken his shoe and stocking off, and holding the mashed and bleeding member in his hands cried out in pitiable accents, “I’ll never jump on the cars arain.” The boy was picked up and carried to his home, where the foot was amputated above the ankle. Mr. Dreibelbis lost a leg in the army.
