A representation of Deibler’s Drug Store, Elizabethville, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, produced on a wood block by Hometowne Collectibles.
On the back of the block is the following description:
DEIBLER’S DRUG STORE
No. 7 East Main Street
Elizabethville, Pennsylvania
In January 1916, Ernest L. Steever purchased the drug store business at No. 7 South Market Street from Dr. J. C. Stroup and was at that location until 1925, when he built the present brick drug store. Mr. Steever retired in 1950 and in July, Donald S. Deibler, who was a salesman for E. R. Squibb and Son, pharmaceutical manufacturers, bought the drug store business. The following month he moved his family from Northumberland to Elizabethville.
In October 1961, he purchased the building from Mr. Steever, and in 1966 his son, Donald S. Deibler II, joined the business; both of them are graduates of the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science. The father holds a Ph.G. degree and the son a B. S. Pharm. degree.
In 1995, Jennifer S. Deibler-Kelly became the third generation to graduate from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science, with a B. S. Pharm. Degree.
