Wiconisco – Shipley Plumbing & Heating, 1908

V. O. SHIPLEY & COMPANY – Roofing, Plumbing and Heating

The above-named firm is one of the more recent additions to the commercial circles of Wiconisco, having been in existence but a little over a year. The individual members of the firm are V. O. Shipley and William Primm, the latter holding a position as an engineer in the mines, so that the active interests of the concern devolve upon Mr. Shipley, who had for a number of years been connected with the different plumbing and hardware houses of Lykens and vicinity. Since its organization, the firm have completed a number of very important contracts in the way of installing up-to-date plumbing, heating and ventilation systems, with the most satisfactory results, having had about all the work it could handle. Mr. Shipley is regarded as one of the best in the line hereabouts, and his past efforts have established a reputation for his firm which is most creditable. The concern is prepared to submit estimates on roofing, installing bath tube, water closets, stationary washstands, drainage and steam, hot air and hot water heating systems, and to guarantee the most satisfactory results in every particular. A complete line of hardware and stores is handled, and the facilities of the firm are in every way second to none in either Wiconisco or Lykens. Since starting in January, 1907, the firm has been decidedly successful in every way, and is today regarded as one of the most progressive, up-to-date and successful concerns in Wiconisco. Both Mr. Shepley and Mr. Primm are well and favorably known throughout this neighborhood, and are two of the active, go-ahead business men here today.
