This news article appeared in the Lykens Standard, April 25, 1924, describing the dedication of the new Ashlar Lodge Temple on Market Street, Lykens, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania.
ASHLAR LODGE DEDICATED TEMPLE
Ashlar Lodge No. 570, F. & A. M., of this place Tuesday accomplished what is seldom the achievement of a small lodge, when they dedicated the Temple in Market Street. As described before in this paper, the plans were carried out in building, making one of the finest halls in Lykens for the exclusive use of an organization.
The dedicatory services were attended by nearly 300, some being members who were not in attendance for years, and many attending from distant points.
Addresses were made by the Right Worshipful Grand Master, Samuel M. Goodyear; Grand Junior Warden, William S. Snyder; and District Deputy Grand Master, W. Harry Musser. A Lodge session was held when the building was dedicated, after which the members and guests were served a luncheon in the banquet room of the Temple.
This building is located on the northwest corner of Market Street and North Third Street.
