Lykens – Hosiery Mill Worker Has Bike Stolen, 1924

From the Lykens Standard, October 18, 1924:

BICYCLE PARKED TEN MINUTES; STOLEN

Eugene Bretz, who is employed at ythe Lykens Knitting and Manufacturing Company Hosiery Mill, this place, had his bicycle stolen at the place of his employment the latter part of last week. The young man who does errandds for the cmpany had returned and set the bicycle mear the entrance. Ten minutes later when he went for the wheel it was gone. Workmen nearby gave a description of the thief and it is expected he will be apprehended. The stolen wheel was an Empire, painted light blue (almost grey) and trimmed with dark blue.
