TOWER CITY MAN DIED IN NAVAL HOSPITAL
Delton A. Watkins, age 34, who had been serving with the U.S. Navy at Camp Peary, Virginia, died in the Norfolk Naval Hospital, Virginia, Friday morning.
Seaman Watkins was a son of the late James Watkins and Jennie Watkins, and was a native of Tower City. He attended Tower City Schools and Gettysburg College, and was a graduate of the Wharton School of Finance, University of Pennsylvania. He was manager of the Western Auto School, Tower City, prior to entering the Navy about a month ago.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Gladys [Hoover[ Watkins; one son, Craig Watkins; one sister, Mrs. Bernard Kopp of Bernardsville, New Jersey; and two brother, Clyde Watkins, of Adamsdale;and Joseph L. Watkins of Tower City.
