An undated portrait of Lloyd Hasting Hartman, who was born in Lykens Township, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, 20 March 1897, to Amos Paul Hartman (1857-1937) and Sarah “Sallie” [Paul] Hartman (1853-1926).
About 1920, he married Emma Elizabeth Shomper of Valley View, Schuylkill Co., Pennsylvania, daughter of John Shomper and Fannie S. Shomper. Sometime her surname is found in the records as Shomber or Schomper. She was born in 1898.
The couple had one child in 1921 who died in infancy. He is buried at Gratz Union Cemetery, Gratz, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania.
For most of his life, Lloyd Hartman was a farmer.
Lloyd died in 1961 and Emma died in 1975. Both are buried at Gratz Union Cemetery with their infant son.
