Jacob E. Kissinger was born on 14 November 1943 in Lykens Township, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, the son of George Kissinger (1817-1903) and Sally [Knerr] Kissinger (1822-1902).
He was a Civil War veteran.
Jacob married Amanda Lovina Williard who was born 1 October 1848, the daughter of George Williard (1819-1885) and Lavina [Deibler] Williard (1822-1888).
The couple lived their lives in Lykens Township, and Gratz, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, where Jacob was a farmer. In 1880, he gave his occupation to the census as a gentleman.
Jacob died on 16 November 1921 and Amanda died on 20 November 1936. Both are buried at Gratz Union Cemetery.
