A Valentine from Katie Kroh to Her Son Ray

An undated Valentine’s Day post card found in a collection of old papers.  Although this card was never mailed, it is addressed to Ray Kroh and is from his mother Katie Kroh.  The message reads, “From your loving mother, [to] my sweet little heart…  answer soon….”

Ray Emery Kroh was born 8 April 1911, the son of Emery Harrison Kroh (1892-1930) and Katie [Levan] Kroh (1895-1990), and lived most of his life in Hubley Township, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania.  He died in October 1978 and is buried at St. Andrew United Methodist Church Cemetery, Valley View, Schuylkill County.

The post card is of the embossed variety and was printed in Germany.
