MRS. AMANDA HARTMAN, 91, BURIED MONDAY

Mrs. Amanda Hartman, age 91 years, 3 months and 5 days, died at the home of her niece, Mrs. Ida Bowman, West Broad Street, Friday, November 4th [1932]. She had been in ill health for some time, and her death resulted from the infirmities incident to old age.

The farm was at one time owned by the late Joseph Sultzbaugh, and at present by Ira Mauser. Two years after the death of her husband, Mrs. Hartman removed to this place where she had resided to the time of her death. She had made her home with Mrs. Bowman for twelve years.

Brief services were held from Mrs. Bowman’s residence at ten o’clock Monday morning, followed by services in St. John’s Lutheran Church near Berrysburg. Rev. Stanley Baker, pastor of the Rife Reformed Church and Rev. R. E. Kramer, pastor of St. John’s Lutheran Church officiated. Interment was made in the adjoining cemetery.

Only the following nephews and nieces are the survivors: Mrs. Ida Bowman, Mrs. Jacob Hoover, Mrs. Charles Schreffler, Mrs. Reuben Wenrich, Elizabethville; Mrs. Jacob O. Matter, Harrisburg; Mrs. Julia Row, Lykens. R.D. 2; Mrs. Polly Graeff, Millersburg; Mrs. Mary Schantz, Pennsburg; Mrs. H. F.
