An undated, colorized photograph of Annie Bertha [Coleman] Shaffer (1879-1934) and her mother, Amanda Louisa [Snyder] Coleman (1854-1951) standing in front of their Lykens Valley home, possibly in Gratz, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania.
The sidewalk indicates that the home was located in a town rather than a rural area and the mound of dirt at lower right indicates that some work was being done on the street at the time the photo was taken. Also, there is a house next door (seen through trees at right).
The back of this photo notes that this was the house owned by Mike Scheib (1931-1988) in 1988.
The house probably underwent renovations over the years, so if the porches were removed, it would be difficult to find its exact location, if it is still standing.
