Charles W. Rubendall (1885-1945) – Millersburg Postmaster & Businessman

FUNERAL HELD TUESDAY FOR C. W. RUBENDALL

Charles W. Rubendall, age 59 years, of Millersburg, died in a Harrisburg hospital, Saturday, following a heart attack.  He was an unemployment compensation referee in the State Department of Labor and Industry.

Mr. Rubendall was a member of the Grace Evangelical Church, Millersburg, and of the P. O. S. of A. lodge, and had served as Scoutmaster of the Millersburg Boy Scout Troup over twenty-five years.  Mr. Rubendall had been engaged in the insurance business a number of years.  He was a former postmaster of Milersburg and served as president of the Millersburg School Board twelve years.

Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Lottie Rubendall, three sons, Robert Rubendall and Charles Rubendall of the Navy, and Dr. Howard Rubendall, headmaster of the Mt. Herman, Massachusetts, School for Boys; one daughter, Mrs. Richard Barnhart, of Lancaster; and five grandchildren.

Funeral services were held from the Minier Funeral Home, Millersburg, at 2 o’clck Tuesday afternoon.  Rev. S. A. Sitler, pastor of the Millersburg Evangelical Church, officiated, and interment was made in the Oak Hill Cemetery at that place.
