TREVORTON CONTRACTOR ATTEMPTED SUICIDE
Because a summons was served on him to appear at a hearing where employees were preferring charges for wages due them, John Goodman, well-known Trevorton contractor attempted suicide by drinking a bottle of bay rum. He told the constable of his intention when the summons was served. The act occurred less than an hour after the summons was served. Medical aid was summoned and a stomach pump used to drain his system of the poisonous fluid. It is believed he will recover.
