Curtin News – April 20, 1927

The following news briefs were published in the “Curtin News” section of a local newspaper, 20 April 1927:

Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Lark spent Monday eve at Berrysburg.

Mr. and Mrs. Theorn Fubroad attended the P.-T. meeting at Martin School, Tuesday eve.

Mrs. W. W. Deibler, Misses Myrtle Beissel, Arlene Deibler and Russell Minnich attended the Literary Society at Berrysburg High School on Wednesday eve.

Mr. and Mrs. Albert Brown and Miss Clara Reigle spent Thursday at the home of W. W. Deibler.

Mr. and Mrs. Theorn Fubroad, Mr. Harris Bordner, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Barnhart, Miss Annie Motter and Miss Margaret Beissel, of Greensburg and R. C. Deibler spent Thursday eve at the home of Elmer Lark.

Mr. and Mrs. Homer Minnich and children, Annie Minnich, Russell Minnich, and Ceylon Minnich, attended Recitals of Botts at Berrysburg.

Raymond Deibler, Misses Florence Deibler and Arlene Deibler, spent Friday at Millersburg.

Some citizens of Curtin attended ceremonis at Holtzman, Thursday evening.

Mr. and Mrs. Harry Daniel spent Friday eve at the home of Penrose Daniel.

Harry Deibler spent Saturday at Elizabethville.

Miss Margaret Beissel, of Greenburg, spent a few days at the home of her mother, Mrs. E. O. Lark.

Clair Lentz, of Millersville State Normal, spent a few days at the home of Charles Lentz.

Some of our people spent Saturday eve at Millersburg.

Some of our citizens attended the Communion services at St. John’s on Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. Harry Daniel and Harry Deibler spent Sunday with Harry Wert at Millersburg.

Mr. and Mrs. Cyrus Zeiders and family spent Sunday with Charles Heckert at County Line.

Mr. and Mrs. William Heckert spent Sunday at the home of Jonathan Heckert.

Mr. and Mrs. William Kolva and daughter Arlene Kolva spent Sunday at the home of Morris Koppenhaver.

Mr. and Mrs. Harry N. Miller and family, Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Hassinger, Allen Hassinger and Raymond C. Deibler spent Sunday at the home of John Hassinger.
