Curtin News – February 2, 1931

The following news briefs were published in the “Curtin News” section of a local newspaper, 19 February 1931:

Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Zeider, Mr. and Mrs. Guerney Maurer and son Roy Maurer, spent Monday evening at the Cyrus Zeiders home.

Mr. Michael Shaffer made a trip to Elizabethville Monday.

Mr. and Mrs. Harry Daniel spent Tuesday evening at Millersburg.

Mr. Elmer Lark made a business trip to Elizabethville Wednesday.

Mr. and Mrs. Charles Fulkroad, Mr. and Mrs. Theron Fulkroad, Anna Motter attended a farmer’ meeting at Millersburg Wednesday evening.

A number of ladies attended a quilting party at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Shaffer recently. They were: Mrs. Elmer Lark, Mrs. William Kolva, Mrs. Theron Fulkroad, Mrs. W. W. Deibler, Mrs. Homer Minnich, Mrs. Harry Bohner, Mrs. Harry Daniel, Mrs. Annie Hoover, Mrs. Charles Lentz, Mrs. Penro Daniel, Mrs. William Savage, Mrs. Henry Warner, Mrs. William Schaeffer, Misses Florence Deibler, Annie Miller, Marie Lark and Anna Motter.

Mr. Homer Minnich and Harry Deibler, attended the convention of the Dauphin County School Directors’ Association at Lykens on Saturday.

Miss Arlene Deibler and friend spent Saturday evening at Tower City.

Mrs. Alice Minnich spent Sunday at the home of W. W. Deibler.

Mr. and Mrs. John Spotts of Dalmatia spent Friday at the home of Cyrus Zeiders.

Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Stine and family spent Sunday at Homer Minnich‘s.

Mr. and Mrs. Charles Snyder, Miss Myrtle Beisel of Harrisburg, Mr. and Mrs. Theron Fulkroad, Mr. and Mrs. Morris Koppenhaver spent Sunday at the home of Elmer Lark.

Miss Annie Minnich of Harrisburg, Miss Fern Stine of Berrysburg and Miss Arlene Deibler spent Sunday at the home of John Shaffer.

Mr. and Mrs. Harry Daniel and children Dale Deibler and June Deibler spent Sunday with Mrs. Penro Daniel.

Misses Anna Lark and Beulah Lark spent Saturday at the home of Theron Fulkroad.

Mr. Charles Zeiders and Gladys Zeiders spent Sunday at the home of L. Dressler near Killinger.
