Dennis R. Woll (1953-2016) – Owner-Operator of Wolley’s Bar, Lykens

DENNIS R. WOLL

Dennis R. Woll, 63, of Williamstown, passed away Wednesday evening, May 18 2016, at his home with his family by his side after a 3 1/2 year courageous fight with pancreatic cancer.

Denny was born in Lykens, February 27, 1953, a son of the late Ray Woll and Eleanor [Goss] Woll.

He was a 1971 graduate of Williams Valley High School.

He worked for 18 years with the Republic Steel Company, Harrisburg; he then owned and operated Wolley’s Bar, Lykens for 14 years.

Denny was a member of the Lykens, Williamstown and Wiconisco Fire Companies.

He loved spending time at his camp along the Juniata River; he enjoyed hunting and NASCAR. His greatest times were those spent with his wife, daughter and friends.

Surviving are his wife of 43 years, Janet [Plesnarski] Woll; a daughter, Antoinette “Toni” Donley, Camp Hill; a sister, Linda “Sue” Fox, Carsonville; Nieces, nephews and many dear friends.

A Celebration of Life services will be held Monday, May 23rd at 4:00 pm from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Home, Inc, Tower City with Pastor Annette Shutt. A visitation will be from 3-4 pm at the chapel. Following the service a dinner and time of fellowship will be held at the Wiconisco Fire Company.
