An undated portrait of Elias Grimm (1828-1915) and his wife, Emaline “Emma” [Matter] Grimm (1831-1894), who were married in 1849 in Elizabethville, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. For a time they lived in Specktown, Lykens Township, Dauphin County, but for most of their lives lived in Jackson Township, Dauphin County, and Williamstown and Williams Township, Dauphin County. Together they had at least two who died in infancy and several more who died young. Both are buried at Seybert’s Cemetery, Williamstown.
Emma’s maiden name is often found as Motter.
