Evelyn B. [Riegle] Lenhart (1900-1969) – Retired State Motor Vehicle Department Worker

EVELYN B. LENHART

Evelyn Beatrice Lenhart, 69, widow of Paul V. Lenhart, 413 North Second Street, Lykens, passed away at the Polyclinic Hospital, Harrisburg, on Sunday, March 30.

She was born in Lykens R.D. 1 [Specktown], daughter of the late Charles Riegle and Minnie [Coleman] Riegle. She was a retired employee of the State in the Motor Vehicle Department. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Glenn Chapter No. 425, Order of Eastern Star, both of Lykens.

She is survived by one son, Charles James Lenhart, of Camp Hill; three daughters, Mrs. Helen Pell, Fayettsville; Mrs. Jean Mehalko, Hialeah, Florida; Mrs. Carol Thompson, Lykens; one brother , Warren Riegle, Memphis, Tennessee; two sisters, Mrs. Hannah McMillan and Mrs. Lucy Budd, both of Williamstown; six grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held today, April 3 [1969] at 11 a.m. from the Roy W. D. Schaffstall Funeral Home, 406 Market Street, Lykens. Rev. George H. DeFrehn, pastor of the St. John’s Lutheran Church of Shiremanstown, officiating. Interment will be in the Wiconisco Cemetery.
