Gratz – Southeast Corner of Market & Centre Streets

A 2008 photograph of the house on the southeast corner of Market Street & Centre Street, Gratz, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. At the time of the photo, there were two unoccupied rental units in the building and it was for sale by the owner.

An offer was made on the property in 2010 with the intent of restoring it to a single family residence, but the offer was withdrawn primarily because of structural issues that had come about from previous, poorly-done renovations.

The property was sold in 2012 and the new owners made some attempts to fix some of the exterior issues, beginning with the front porch, which was collapsing. Eventually, efforts at renovating the property were abandoned.
