Harold E. Smith – Merchant Tailor of Lykens, 1908

HAROLD E. SMITH – MERCHANT TAILOR

It is a source of much satisfaction to the best dressed people of this community as well as Wiconisco and other nearby places, that Lykens possesses a first-claass tailoring establishment that is able to produce as fine a grade of work any in Harrisburg or elsewhere. Harold E. Smith of Market Street, has conducted the business here successfully for the past twelve years, and he has long ago convinced the people that he is a cutter and fitter of extraordinary ability, and numbers among his patrons many of the leading citizens of Lykens and surrounding communities. At his store may be seen a splendid line of imported and domestic gfabrics in piece goods and samples for both men’s and women’s wear, so that customers can make selection from a wide range of choice. A specialty is made of making to order both ladies’ and gentlemen’s fine garments , and perfect fit, style and finish is guaranteed. Mr. Smith is a young man of much energy, and a thorough artiste, who keeps himself fully up to the times and thoroughly posted as to the lastest prevailing styles. While his work is all of the highest order of merit, his prices will be found at all times moderate and consistent with the best grade of goods and high class workmanship. Mr. Smith holds a certificate of graduation from the John J. Mitchell Cutting School of New York, the most thorough cutting school in the country for both men’s and women’s garments.
