Four newspaper photographs that were part of an advertisement for the Hudson Hornet Road Demonstration sponsored by Erdman Motors, Pine Grove, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania.
Photo Caption #1 (photo above):
This picture shows, in the foreground, the 1951 Hudson Hornet with 145 h.p. engine that was tested by Erdman Motors on the Gold Mine Mountain and proved to be the “miracle car-of-the year,” rounding a 60-degree curve and climbing up the remaining 300 feet of the 65 degree upgrade with the same ease that marks the Hudson Hornet’s “unlimited performance” under every kind of driving condition. Little Patty Barr is holding the Hornet banner. Standing alongside the test car is Stephen Ninkovich, Erdman Motors salesman, who drove the demonstrator in the test. The fleet of Hudson in back of the test car were driven by Guy Erdman, Pine Grove Hudson dealer, Harold Snyder, Stanley Barr, and Jack Hikes.

Ready for the trial run up Gold Mine Mountain, here is the 1951 Hudson Hornet test car, driven by Stephen Ninkovich, Guy Erdman, owner of Erdman Motors, Pine Grove, Hudson dealer, is standing beside the car. The test proved that the H-145 Hornet engine with its Miracle H-Power gives you full command of the road under the most trying driving conditions, revealed the instant, fluid fleetness which makes driving an exhilarating new delight, showing performance powers never before realized, plus all the tough, brawny durability and stamina which have been characteristics of Hudson engines down through the years. The H-145 engine gives the finest high-compression performance without the use of premium fuels.

Photo #3 and Caption:
Photo shows the Hudson Hornet rounding the 60-degree curve on Gold Mine Mountain at an extraordinarily high rate of speed, proving the car’s center-point steering provides the “safest of safe” ride, the car holding the road in perfect balance. The new, streamlined, high-powered master of the highway — and the handsomest car, inside and out — brings to the American motorist the rhythmic low-built beauty of the Skyliner Styling., the absolutely matchless room, comfort, safety and durability through Hudson’s new and better way of building automobiles with exclusive recessed floor.
