Isaac M. Riegel & Son Dairy

A 1934 calendar from the Isaac M. Riegel and Son Dairy of Lykens Township, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania.

The dairy was operated in the late 1920s and 1930s. Milk was stored in a milk house which was located at a spring.  Butter and other dairy products were also store at this place to be kept as cool as possible.

Milk bottles from this dairy were marked “Isaac M. Riegel & Son” and “T. B. Tested Milk and Cream.”

The dairy was located on what was the Reuben Riegel farm of 156 acres in 1875, at the junction what is presently called the Crossroads and Route 25, west of Gratz.  Parts of this farm were eventually sold-off and one area formerly from this property is today known as the Crossroads Auction.
