JOHN C. FORNEY
LYKENS – John Clyde Forney, age 79, passed away, February 3, 2022, at Providence Place Nursing Care, Pine Grove, Pennsylvania.
He was born on January 17, 1943 in Wiconisco, the son of the late Clyde Forney and Mary [Bruner] Forney.
He was the widower of Marlene Elizabeth [Hornberger] Forney.
He was a retired underwriter and claims insurance agent who took great pride in his 45-year career with Lincoln General Insurance Company. John loved his family, nature, photography, cats, golf, star gazing, western movies, Upper Dauphin sports, and the Crossroads Auction. He also spent decades serving with the Washington Township Water Association. John is remembered as a kind, quick-witted man with a quiet humor that shined even to the end….
He is survived by his four grandchildren and sister Dorothy [Forney] Troxell.
He was preceded in death by his son Rahn Forney.
There was a viewing held at Hoover-Boyer Funeral Homes Ltd, Elizabethville, a Minnich Funeral Establishment on Saturday, February 12, 2022 from 10-11 am. Services were at 11 a. m with Rev. Mark Hoffman officiating. Burial was at Maple Grove Cemetery, Elizabethville.
