Lykens High School Class Trip to Washington, D.C., 1932

The 1932 Lykens High School, Lykens, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, class trip was to Washington, D.C., and one of the seniors, Kathryn E. Dietrich, took the opportunity to send a picture post card of the cherry blossoms to her great uncle and aunt, Chauncey Riegle (1870-1936) and Emma [Hassinger] Riegle (1863-1934) of Specktown, Lykens Township, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania.

The address-message side of the card shows the cancellation indicating that the trip took place on 6 June 1932.

A picture has been seen of the Class of 1932 at Washington, but at the present time a copy has not been located to post here.
