A photograph of the Lykens Valley Railroad station at Woodside, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, taken as part of the building survey of the Interstate Commerce Commission’s survey of railroad structures and property, about 1916.
None of the boys in the photo have been identified. The one boy to the left may have been employed to operate the signal device. The boy on the right is wearing an unidentified piece of equipment.
According to information found at Dauphin County Railroad Stations, “This depot was on the east side of Woodside Station Road on the south side of the tracks at approximately GPS: 40.532202, -76.910003.”
