Mabel F. Daniels
Mabel F. Daniels, 90, of Susquehanna Lutheran Village, Millersburg, formerly of Gratz, died Saturday at Polyclinic Medical Center, Harrisburg.
Born in Llewellyn, 25 March 1906, she was a daughter of the late William F. Bretzius Sr. and Lizzie Bretzius.
She was a member of Simeons United Lutheran Church, Gratz, and its Willing Workers. She was a founding member of Gratz Historical Society and a member of Gratz Senior Citizens.
Her husband, Alvin R. Daniels, died in 1976, and a son, Alvin “Buddy” Daniels Jr., died in 1936.
Surviving are two stepsons, Lynn C. Schadle, Harrisburg and Steven J. Schadle, Riverview, Florida; a stepdaughter, Becci Sue Mentzer, Middletown; a brother, Charles Bretzius, Tremont; a sister, Alice Newman, Edison, New Jersey; five stepgrandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Simeons United Lutheran Church.
The Rev. Barry Ridge will officiate.
Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Gratz.
James A. Reed Funeral Home, Pillow, is in charge of arrangements.
