Pictured seated on the scooter is Harold W. Dietrich (1919-1988), son of William E. “Bill” Dietrich and Helen [Hoffman] Dietrich (1895-1977). His sister, Kathryn E. Dietrich (1915-2003) is standing next to the dog.
Standing at left is Marguerite S. Mauser (1912-1947) and her brother (standing center), John Daniel Mauser (1917-1979), children of Freeman J. Mauser (1890-1947) and Annie [Welker] Mauser (1889-1959), neighbors of Bill and Helen Dietrich.
The scene of the photo is on the curved walkway at the Riegle-Dietrich homestead in Specktown. The walkway went from the front of the house, located on what is now called Old Specktown Road, around the side of the house to the kitchen entrance. It was a favorite spot for “picture-taking.”
