The caption explains the purpose of the group:
“This dance orchestra was organized just this year by Mr. James Wert. Although it is not under the school’s auspices it is composed mostly of high school students. The orchestra has participated in several school assemblies and evening performances.”
None of the individuals in the photo are identified.
