NORMAN LESTER RIEGLE was born on 4 October 1886, in Specktown, Lykens Township, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. He was the youngest son of HARRISON RIEGLE (1840-1899) and HANNAH [RICKERT] RIEGLE (1847-1919). About 1913, he married LYDIA ALICE HELT of Lykens Borough, Dauphin County, born in Elizabethville on 18 March 1883, the daughter of DANIEL DAVID HELT (1857-1937) and CATHERINE ELIZABETH ADELINE “KATE” [SNYDER] HELT (1853-1909).
Norman and Lydia Riegle had these children:
+ INFANT DAUGHTER, who died in 1914.
+ LOUISE KATHRYN RIEGLE, born in Lykens Township, 25 March 1915. In 1939, she married CARL THOMAS LABE (1914-1997). They had no children. She died 24 March 1977 in Robesonia, Berks County, Pennsylvania.
+ DELOS NORMAN RIEGLE, born Robesonia, Berks County, Pennsylvania, on 28 October 1919. He married MILDRED EDNA DIETRICH on 7 August 1945, in Johnson City, Carter County, Tennessee, born 14 January 1924, in Berks County, Pennsylvania, the daughter of JOHN B. DIETRICH and BERTHA [ZELLER] DIETRICH. Delos and Mildred had two children. Delos was a World War II veteran and was held as a Prisoner of War in Germany. He died on 18 March 1990 in Lebanon, Lebanon County Pennsylvania. He’s buried at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in Annville, Lebanon County. Mildred died on 28 February 2008 in Palmyra, Lebanon County, and is buried with her husband at the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
+ DANIEL HARRISON RIEGLE, born Robesonia, Berks County, Pennsylvania, on 25 January 1917. He married BEATRICE LORENNE “BETTY” KEATH on 21 October 1939, the daughter of JOHN A. KEATH (1898- ?) and ESTELLA ? (1900-?). Dan and Betty had five children. Dan died on 29 September 1990 and Betty died on 3 May 1992.
